Why choose Horseshoe Helicopters?

Montana's high density alttitude environment demands performance that some training helicopters simply do not have. Our Schweizer 300C has a 190HP fuel injected Lycoming HIO-360-D1A engine. This gives you the performance you need without the expense of a larger engine; a perfect combination. In addition we have the finest in instrument training avionics including a Horizontal Situation Indicator (HSI) and the industry standard, Garmin 430.

We are an FAA part 61 school meaning you do not have to follow a set syllabus. This gives you the flexibility you need to study at your own pace. You may choose to get your private in 3 weeks or 3 months; whatever works best.

Three Forks Airport is an uncrowded, non-towered airport 18 miles west of class D Bozeman Airport. We never have to spend valuable flight time holding on the ground or in the air for commercial traffic. When we need to practice radio calls, Bozeman is only minutes away.

Our dual rate is $290/hr. and our aircraft rental is $245/hr. 10 hour block rates are available for a 5% discount.

We also are available for aerial photography, video and survey as well as powerline, pipeline patrol and fire fighting support for $300/hr.

The Gallatin Valley and surrounding mountains are a spectacular setting to do your training or photo work. You can also enjoy the nearby world class skiing, hunting, fishing, and mountain biking. Please give us a call at 406-570-5047.
